Mitsu Okubo // *Sigh* Twombly Baseball Hat

$ 42.00

Part pun, part vibe, part modern art appreciation: this absurd T-shirt by San Francisco-based
artist and printmaker Mitsu Okubo captures an entire emotional spectrum in two words: a soft
exhale, a knowing wink, and a nod to Cy Twombly’s gloriously unruly scribbles.

Mitsu Okubo is a California-based artist and printmaker living in San Francisco. His works,
which combine found materials with collage, drawing, and printmaking, are a humorous
examination of overconsumption and its effect on modern life. By blending high and low culture,
Okubo creates layered compositions that critique the excesses of contemporary society and
challenge the institutions that uphold these values. His use of discarded materials not only
subverts traditional notions of value but also invites reflection on our cultural and material
choices. His work is included in the collections of MoMA, SFMOMA, and the Whitney Museum
of American Art.

Made in The San Francisco Bay Area by Open Editions. "Flex-Fit" wool blend cap in S-M or L-XL.
