Jeffrey Gibson, Snake. 

JEFFREY GIBSON is a Colorado based artist. His artworks make reference to various aesthetic and material histories rooted in Indigenous cultured of the Americas, and in modern contemporary subcultures. He is a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and is half Cherokee. Jeffrey is represented by four galleries, including Sikkema Jenkins & Co gallery in NYC.

Gibson represented the United States at the Venice Biennale in 2024, where he was the first indigenous artist to have a solo exhibition in the American pavilion.
