Open-Editions at Texas Contemporary

OPEN-EDITIONS popped up in Houston for the Texas Contemporary art fair October 1st-4th. We brought a selection of artist-designed goods from San Francisco to share with visitors to the art fair, and collaborated with Art Market Productions, curator Leslie Moody Castro and artist Emilio Chapella to create a series of maps celebrating TX Contemporary's highlight on Mexico DF galleries and arts organizations featured at the fair.  The Invisible City maps grew out of a dialogue with artist Emilio Chapella, exploring the topology of the street grid embossed as a footprint of the city along with points of interest in the arts. Seattle Art Fair

OPEN-EDITIONS popped up at the entrance to the inaugural 2015 Seattle Art Fair. We collaborated with local partner SAM Books, raising over $1,200 for the Seattle Art Museum through sales of books on art and artists in the Pacific Northwest. Open-Editions is live!

YES.... WE'RE OPEN! We are so excited to launch our new company, Open-Editions, and to share the first of many artist-designed, factory-made goods!  Our first product is my "Thank You Tote"- developed in 2012 at the Workshop Residence and originally produced by their label (Thank you, Workshop!).  I've been delighted and amazed at how the tote has taken off since my residency and I'm so proud of the object it's become.  It's a joy to see people use their totes around town and I always love the reactions I get from cashiers when I take my own to the grocery store.  It's also gratifying to hear customers say how much they enjoy giving the bag as a 'thank you' gift! ...
